What started off as a hobby and an often very animated topic of conversation for Ray and Rose Ortega, during their 17 years of Marriage, they decided to put their years of research and personal experiences to good use; by officially forming The El Paso Alternate Reality Project (E.A.R.P.) in the summer of 2006, with its official site launch in the fall of 2008, www.earpzine.com and re-launching with a new look and website Alternate Reality Project.com in the summer of '09.
E.A.R.P. was established to investigate and research local and regional paranormal activity, UFO sightings and Cryptozoology. EARP'S secondary mission is to collaborate and share data with other established paranormal research groups; as well as engage in the sharing of ideas, thoughts and theories with our viewing audience.
Our Team consists of a small but varied group of people each with their own stories, talents and experiences to share, along with a strong desire to learn and search for proof of what lies on the other side. But each one of us is serious, professional and dedicated to our field.
Ray and Rose Ortega are both native El Pasoans, both have degrees in Computer Science, are devout Catholics and call East El Paso home with their two children.
